Sweat Memorial Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a Pastor who is called by God to lead our congregation.
SMBC is a Southern Baptist Church located in Southeast Georgia in Ware County. Although it is a small community, our church would be described as relatively large for our area with approximately 300-400 attending Sunday services. The recent addition of so many young couples with families, bustling children and youth programs and activities, along with outstanding music, orchestra programs have fostered optimism for the future. We are a church of hard-working, compassionate, loving and faithful believers. Sweat Memorial is often mispronounced “Sweet Memorial”, but the congregation has come to cherish this as it speaks volumes about the spirit of the church, truly a sweet, friendly, loving one. Even with the recent growth SMBC remains a rural conservative church that believes the Word of God is inerrant, infallible and our standard of truth.
